power4parents.org is the brain child of a self employed Gold Coast mother of 5 who found herself on the wrong side of DoCS through no fault of her own.
After investigating everything to do with her situation, she found that not only were there problems with the Child Protection Act 1999 but that there is an alarming rate of problems throughout Australia with DoCS officers and DoCS workers.
She decided that since not much was available online for parents in her position, she would begin a site herself to help and inform other parents who are also struggling with the Department of Child Safety.
Through the use of this site, she hopes that parents can be informed, encouraged, supported and find various ways of empowering and helping themselves get through their ordeals.
One voice can evolve into many...
